Summit Push Privacy Policy

Effective date: August 6, 2026

This policy is written for users, partners, and platform reviewers, including Garmin API access review for summitpushapp.com.

1. Overview

Summit Push is an expedition simulation app for training toward routes and objectives in high-altitude and high-terrain environments. This Privacy Policy explains how Summit Push collects, uses, stores, and protects personal data, including data received from Garmin when a user chooses to connect their Garmin account.

2. Data We Collect

When you use Summit Push, we may collect account information such as email address and app profile settings, training information you enter in the app, and device-derived training data such as activity duration, distance, elevation gain, route, location, pace, heart rate, calories, timestamps, and related activity metrics. The exact Garmin data processed depends on the permissions you grant through Garmin.

3. How We Use Garmin Data

Summit Push uses Garmin data to import or synchronize eligible activities, calculate expedition simulation progress, display training history, support training diary features, and improve the accuracy and usefulness of the app experience. We do not use Garmin data for advertising.

4. Legal Basis and Consent

Garmin data is processed only after you authorize Summit Push through Garmin. You can revoke Garmin access through your Garmin account settings or by contacting us. Other account and app data is processed to provide the Summit Push service and to maintain the security and reliability of the app.

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell personal data. We may share data with service providers that help us operate the app, such as hosting, authentication, database, analytics, or infrastructure providers. These providers may process data only as needed to provide their services to Summit Push. We may also disclose data if required by law or to protect the rights, safety, and security of users or the service.

6. Storage and Security

Summit Push uses reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect personal data from unauthorized access, loss, misuse, or alteration. No internet-based service can be guaranteed to be completely secure, but we design the service to limit access and protect sensitive training and location-related information.

7. Retention and Deletion

We retain personal data for as long as needed to provide Summit Push, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and maintain service integrity. You may request deletion of your account data or Garmin-derived data by contacting us. Some limited information may be retained when required for legal, security, or backup reasons.

8. Your Choices and Rights

You may disconnect Garmin access, request access to personal data, ask for correction or deletion, or object to certain processing where applicable law gives you that right. To make a request, contact us using the details below.

9. Children

Summit Push is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal data, contact us and we will take appropriate action.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as Summit Push evolves. If we make material changes, we will update the effective date and provide notice where appropriate.
